Praedidium
Praesidium was founded in 1988 by Enzo Pasquale and his wife Lucia. Their belief is to obtain healthy grapes through simple and traditional methods.
The cellar is located in a small village on the slopes of Monte Prezza, with vineyards situated about 400 meters above sea level further down the valley. Prezza, derived from the Latin verb "Praeesse," meaning to preside, gives the name to both the wine and the company, known as "Praesidium."
Today, Ottaviano and his sister Antonia manage the company. The character of their wines is exactly the opposite of their own personalities. The wines are extroverted and powerful, while they themselves are reserved and gentle, yet determined to achieve the goal of producing great wines, particularly a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that represents its place of origin.
